Displacement Hull Vessel
The ATS system provides vessel propulsion and powers onboard utilities along with battery bank management and shore power management.
A typical vessel is equipped with two diesel engines/generators, two propulsion motors and one bow thruster motor.
Highlights
- Smokeless Engine Start The generator on the engine revs the engine to a certain speed before fuel is introduced to facilitate a cleaner engine start as opposed to a traditional start via starter and start batteries.
- Engines off When Idle Similar to a hybrid car the engine will stop when neither of the propulsion drives, Port, Starboard or Bow Thruster motors, are engaged. Engaging either of the drives will deliver almost instant propulsion in combination with the Smokeless Engine Start feature described above.
- Propulsion on Battery Power This feature is intended for very short and very slow speed travel. This allows for silent and emission free operation while at port or in the harbor.
